Father Hlavaty was ordained to the priesthood in 1999, for service in the Diocese of Victoria.  He holds an undergraduate degree in psychology from the University of Dallas and a Master’s degree in Divinity from The University of Saint Thomas in Houston.  He completed a three-year spiritual direction certification program at Creighton University.  He has also assisted in the development of a retreat ministry.  Father Kirby has served parishes in Victoria, Hallettsville, Cuero, Shiner and is currently assigned as pastor/rector of The Cathedral of Our Lady of Victory in Victoria.
